On 22 August 2025, Maison Sia, long celebrated as India’s ultimate destination for global luxury home décor, unveiled its much-anticipated foray into luxury furniture in India. The evening, titled Genesis, marked more than a launch—it was a beginning. Held at the flagship store in Delhi’s CRC Design Centre, the furniture launch in Delhi drew an audience of India’s most discerning architects, interior designers, tastemakers, and visionaries.
The evening was hosted by Vratika Gupta, founder of Maison Sia, a curator and entrepreneur who has transformed the brand into India’s definitive hub for global luxury, now expanding its vision from décor to statement furniture.
For years, Maison Sia has curated treasures from more than seventy of the world’s most distinguished brands in luxury home décor. With this launch, the brand expanded into luxury furniture collections in collaboration with Italian powerhouses EDRA and Naturedesign. Each piece, selected for its craftsmanship and character, was more than just furniture—it was a statement of artistry and timeless design.

The Evening Unfolds
From the moment guests entered, the atmosphere reflected Maison Sia’s ethos: luxury that is tactile, immersive, and intentional. A live violinist set the tone with soaring notes, while candle engraving in Italian phrases like “Tutto Glam” or “Senza Lusso? Mai” offered personal keepsakes. Calligraphers inscribed journals of choice, a tea leaf reader added an air of mystique, and a mixologist curated cocktails that paired beautifully with artisanal wine and gourmet hors d’oeuvres. Conversation corners and guided walkthroughs encouraged guests to slow down, engage, and truly experience the artistry on display. This immersive approach positioned Genesis not just as a furniture showcase in Delhi but as an evening of cultural and creative resonance.

Icons of Design: EDRA and Naturedesign
The star attractions of the evening were the pieces themselves. EDRA’s creations commanded attention: the sculptural Margherita Armchair, the enigmatic Pack Composizione Sofa, and the daring modular On the Rocks Sofa sat alongside jewel-like Diamante and Cicladi tables, each bearing the unmistakable signature of Italian innovation. Known for blending technology and artistry, EDRA continues to push the boundaries of comfort and design with its patented innovations and limited-edition works crafted in Tuscany.
Naturedesign’s offerings, in contrast, embodied soulful restraint. The Dune Wood Sofa radiated warmth and natural ease, the Blur Coffee Tables showcased organic textures, the Twig Rocking Chair blended whimsy with craft, while the Ovoo Stoneware Coffee Table grounded the display with timeless materiality. By working with centuries-old reclaimed wood, Naturedesign honors sustainability while creating furniture that feels both quietly luxurious and enduring.
Together, the two brands highlighted Maison Sia’s vision: to bring pieces that balance modernity with lasting relevance into Indian homes.

Voices from the Evening
What elevated the evening further were the voices of those who experienced it firsthand. Architect and design entrepreneur Sushant Verma, founder of rat[LAB] Studio, described the collection as “absolutely stunning,” noting how every piece seemed to speak for itself. Pinky Pandit, principal architect at Modus Design Studio, admired the breadth of the collection, calling it a “fabulous selection that caters to everybody’s needs.” Sharmilee Chopra, founder of FTS and a leading figure in luxury interiors, was struck by how thoughtfully curated the offering was, observing that regardless of whether one leaned classical or contemporary, there was something to be found here. Entrepreneur and creative force Avantika Tokas Midha reflected on the deeper resonance of the event, describing it as a celebration of art, technology, and tradition woven seamlessly together.

Why Genesis Matters
For the design community, Genesis was more than a luxury furniture launch in India; it was proof of how far Maison Sia has evolved—from a curator of global home décor to a shaper of holistic living experiences. For homeowners, the evening offered a practical reminder: selecting furniture today is not just about filling a space but about investing in pieces that embody character, innovation, and timelessness.

With personalized consultations and an exclusive try-and-buy service, Maison Sia ensures this new journey into luxury furniture is not just aspirational but accessible. Genesis was aptly named: it marked not only Maison Sia’s beginning in the world of luxury Italian furniture but also a new chapter in India’s evolving dialogue with global design.
